Lt Col Edgardo V. Talaroc Jr, 8IB commanding officer, said this shows that the Filipino’s Bayanihan spirit is indeed very much alive.
“Our barangay folks proved that amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, they can work together to support our government workers to smoothly deliver the SAP cash assistance to their respective villages,” he said.
Some 3,593 family beneficiaries in 15 barangays of Cabanglasan, Bukidnon received their share of P6,000 each household on April 23-28, 2020.
The beneficiaries are the low-income families affected by the enhanced community quarantine imposed by the authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Army and PNP, together with its peace and development partners, continue to link up with the local government units’ MSWDOs in reaching out to help the needy and ensure the safe distribution of the said cash Talaroc said. (2Lt CMBumatay, CMO, 8IB PA/RLRB, PIA Bukidnon)
