PARANAQUE CITY, May 1 (PIA) -- The Parañaque City government has extended the prohibition of selling and serving of alcohol within the city following President Duterte’s extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in National Capital Region.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez signed the Executive Order No. 2020-032 Series of 2020 on April 23, 2020. Under the executive order, all business establishments with permit to manufacture, distribute, sell, and serve alcoholic drinks are not allowed to do so, as city issued Liquor License is suspended.
The suspension of permits will be effective until the Enhanced Community Quarantine is lifted in the city.
The need to extend the period of suspension for businesses’ permit to sell and serve alcoholic beverage must occur simultaneously with the Enhanced Community Quarantine, according to the executive order.
Establishments including convenience stores, sari-sari stores, food establishments, and groceries that are found in violation of the EO will face appropriate penalties and sanctions. (PIA-NCR)
