SMC donates P2M worth of dressed chickens, sacks of flours for Batangas City frontliners

BATANGAS CITY, May 1 (PIA)-San Miguel Corporation(SMC) donated Magnolia dressed chickens worth P2M to the city government of Batangas  for the consumption of the frontliners in the different barangays of the city.
 
The first batch of delivery that arrived April 28 was distributed to clustered barangays including Solid Baybay, Solid Upland and half of Solid East.
 
Upon receipt of the donations, Mayor Beverley Dimacuha ordered the General Services Department headed by Joyce Cantre to distribute the dressed chickens to concerned barangays.
 
The next delivery is scheduled May 5 that would be distributed to clustered barangays of Solid North, Poblacion area and half of Solid East.
 
Few days ago, SMC has also donated 500 bags of flour to the city government to be used in making different kinds of bread for its frontliners.
 
Mayor Dimacuha requested two bakeshops in the city to help in making these breads.

This iniatitive of SMC will be a big help not only to the city government as well as the frontliners who were bravely facing this global pandemic despite restrictions, limitations and fear for their own safety. (BHABY P. DE CASTRO-PIA Batangas with reports from PIO Batangas City)
