DFA enforces health & safety precautionary measures as it opens Consular Offices

PARANAQUE CITY, May 21 (PIA) -- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has resumed operations in its Consular Offices Monday, May 18 with health and safety protocols implemented in  adherence to the Department of Health’s (DOH) workplace guidelines. 
 
Consular Offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) as well as in other regions enforce the following guidelines for te transacting public: 
 
Those availing of consular services including the Courtesy Lane as well as the Diplomatic and Official Passports section must set an appointment via e-mail (https://ift.tt/2LJP33M) in order to limit the number of people and observe physical distancing in the office.  
  
Applicants are strongly advised to avail of online payments and have their passport and other consular documents delivered to their homes instead of claiming it themselves in the consular office. Applicants who will claim documents and passport must also set an appointment online. 
 
Applicants belonging in the vulnerable sector including senior citizens and immunocompromised are advised to not proceed with the application while there is still no cure or vaccine for the virus. Payed application will be valid and may continue the process once it is deemed safe.  
 
Wearing of face mask is a must and all persons entering will have their temperature check.  (DFA/PIA-NCR)
