Isabela PNP seizes marijuana worth P690,000 in Quezon town

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, May 27 (PIA)- The Isabela Police Provincial Office has scored big in its intensified anti-illegal drugs operation as P690,000 worth of marijuana was seized in a joint buy-bust operation in Quezon, Isabela on Monday.

Joint operatives of Ilagan CPS, Isabela PPO PDEU, Quezon PS, PDEA Isabela and MASAMASID Isabela conducted Anti-illegal drugs buy bust operation on May 25 at barangay Abut that resulted in the arrest of Boyet Dugwawi y Appag, 20, single, a resident of Brgy. Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga.

Police report says that the suspect initially transacted with the intelligence operatives of Ilagan CPS and supposedly will deliver marijuana at said city but the suspect opted to meet instead with the poseur buyer at the said barangay due to strict implementation of checkpoints.

Recovered from the suspect were 1 genuine P1,000 and 24 pcs. one thousand pesos boodle money (buy bust money), and one (1) unit android cellular phone.

PCol James M Cipriano, provincial director of Isabela PPO lauded the latest feat of the IPPO operatives in the conduct of anti-illegal drugs operations amid pandemic.

The Director assures IsabeleƱos that the police will continuously implement its anti-criminality, anti-terrorism and illegal drugs operations to ensure everyone’s safety. (MDCT/PIA-2)
