PARANAQUE CITY, May 29 (PIA) -- The City Government of Parañaque has moved the deadline for the submission of Paraña-Cash survey forms from May 27 to May 31, 2020 due to the overwhelming number of applications being submitted to the local government.
Under the City’s Paraña-Cash program, about 40,000 Parañaque residents who have not received any cash assistance from the national government will receive P5,000 from the local government unit to ensure that no one will be left behind and evryone will be given assistance during the crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parañaque residents may submit the cash assistance application online or to their respective barangays.
Barangay officials will then conduct a validation to ensure that no member of the household has received any cash assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Social Amelioration Program, Department of Labor and Employment’s COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program and Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/ Disadvantaged Workers Program #Barangay Ko, Bahay Ko, DOF’s Small Business Wage Subsidy, and other financial assistance from the national government.
The LGU will issue a ‘HELP’ EMV card to approved applicants where the cash assistance will be deposited to.
As of May 28, 2020, Parañaque City has recorded a total of 705 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city, with 236 active cases. (PIA-NCR)
