Isabela PLGU allots P10-M to support DA’s Plant, Plant, Plant Program

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, June 6 (PIA) – The Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI) has allocated 10 million pesos worth of fund as the province’s counterpart to further strengthen the Plant, Plant, Plant Program of the Department of Agriculture.

During the launching of “Ahon Lahat, Pagkaing Sapat” (ALPAS) Kontra COVID – 19 in the province recently, DA Regional Executive Director Narciso Edillo said that out of 5 provinces in the region, Isabela Governor Rodito T. Albano III is the first local chief executive who responded on the call to support DA-2's Plant, Plant, Plant Program 

Edillo said that that through their program, they envision to boost farm productivity and guarantee food security among households during the COVID-19 crisis.

DA-2 in coordination with the Provincial Agriculture Office, Provincial Veterinary Office, Isabela Environment and Natural Resources Office, have adapted barangay Alibagu in the City of Ilagan to be the beneficiary of the province's Adopt–A–Village/Barangay Program in ensuring sufficient and available foods to the community.

Assorted vegetable seeds and seedlings, fruit tree seedlings including brooder chicks were turned over to barangay Alibagu through its Barangay Captain Ariel Tabangcura.

Tabangcura expressed thanks to DA-2 and the provincial government for choosing his barangay as a beneficiary of the DA's Adopt-A-Village/Barangay program under the Plant,Plant,Plant Program. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
