NV DPWH pushes P96.5-M road widening

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, June 26(PIA) - The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started the implementation of the road widening project along the national highway to provide more convenient road for commuters.

The DPWH south district has started the road widening project in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya to provide convenient road network for commuters and farmers in transporting their products to the market. The project was started last month.# Photo from DPWH R2 FB Post

Engineer Glen Miguel, chief of the DPWH south district said the project - Network Development – Road Widening – Primary Roads, Daang Maharlika  in Aritao town has a budget of P92,582,099.73.

He said the project involves the construction of pavement carriageway and 5.9-kilometer lane pavement shoulder, slope protection structures, covered line canal and road safety devices.

“High impact project like this will benefit the motorists and commuters for ease of travelling including those in the business sector who are transporting their products from neighboring towns and provinces,” he added.

Miguel also said that the road widening project along Daang Maharlika will address the necessity for better and wider road network.

She said the project is now 35 percent accomplished since it was started last month.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
