PAL Express, Cebu Pacific, more donors bring aid to LSIs

PASIG CITY, June 30 (PIA) – More donors provide relief aid to locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who are currently taking shelter at the Philippine Army Wellness Center in Ft. Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Last weekend, Philippine Airlines (PAL) Express together with the University of Sto. Tomas’ ROTC Alumni Organization (Golden Corps Cadet) and individuals Mr. Glenn Mark Lanozo and Mr. Martin Aguda Jr., and Army Reservists 1st Lt. Dexter Tiu and 1st Lt. Nelson Dy provided relief aid to LSIs.

The various groups donated goods which include 500 pastry food packs, 360 rice and chicken food packs, 1,000 sachets of coffee, 500 bottles of drinking water, 200 pieces of surgical masks, 100 pieces of face shields, 1 box of face masks, 400 washable face masks, and other food items.

Likewise, volunteers from Cebu Pacific’s Inflight Catering and Sales Team and the Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team Philippines prepared meals and refreshments for the LSIs.

The donations include nutritious meals, snack items and drinks. According to the Philippine Army, the donations are on top of food items that Cebu Pacific has been distributing to over 1,200 LSIs who have temporarily stayed at the military facility over the past weeks. To date, more than 800 have been flown back to their home provinces, majority aboard Cebu Pacific flights, according to the Phlippine Army. (Philippine Army/PIA-NCR)
