TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, July 30 (PIA) - - Six more cases of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has emerged in Cagayan Valley region as confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) .
Llexter Guzman, health education and promotions officer, said of the five newly tested individuals came from Isabela province while 1 came from in Cagayan.
CV 308 is a 56-year-old female from Naguilian, Isabela, a Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) who had a travel history in Quezon City and arrived in the province last July 19. She experienced fever, cough and colds and now admitted at the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC).
CV 309 is a 67-year-old male also from Naguilian, Isabela, also an LSI from Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija. He is asymptomatic and now treated at the quarantine facility of the Local Government Unit (LGU) concerned.
CV 310 is a 51-year-old female from Echague, Isabela, an LSI from Quezon City. She is also asymptomatic and now at LGU quarantine facility.
CV 311 is a 50-year-old female from Gamu, Isabela who has no travel history but exposed to positive patient CV 307. She experienced difficulty of breathing and now at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC).
CV 312 is a 59-year-old male from Piat, Cagayan with no travel history but contracted the infection for the second time after he suffered from cough and inflammation of throat. He is now at the CVMC.
CV 313 is a 2-year-old male from Delfin Albano, Isabela, an LSI from Antipolo City who was exposed to CV 279 but he is asymptomatic and now at the LGU quarantine facility.
Guzman said contact tracing is now being under taken by concerned officials in the ground.
He also urged public to always practice minimum health standards and follow health protocols set by the government to avoid further spread of the virus. (BME/OTB/PIA 2-Cagayan)
