Calapan City gov’t awards P574,000 financial assistance to Brgy. Wawa

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, July 5 (PIA) -- The city government of Calapan led by Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan awarded recently P574,000 financial assistance to the Sangguniang Barangay of Brgy. Wawa in this city.

The financial aid is a counterpart funding of the city government which is intended for barangay projects.

Barangay Chairman Darwin Labe, together with the member of the barangay council received said financial assistance.

On June 27, Mayor Panaligan formally turned-over the newly-constructed Barangay Multi-Purpose Building to Brgy. Wawa.  The building cost amounting to P3 million is now operationally used by the barangay council for their sessions and for other related activities of the brangay.

“Since my earlier term, we implemented more projects in Brgy. Wawa from the fund of the city government like concreting of barangay roads as well as transferring and titling of lands to the people living in the public lands and resettlement areas in the barangay,” said Mayor Panaligan.  (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
