BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 6 (PIA) - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) recently declared 10 barangays in the province as drug free and cleared.
"The declaration was made after the barangays have religiously complied with their requirements," said Provincial Administrator Maybelle Dumlao Sevillena.
The provincial administrator received the plaques of declaration at Camp Adduru in Tuguegarao City.
She said the drug cleared and free barangays are Casat of Bayombong, Murong and Nangalisan of Bagabag; Alloy, Kongkong and Papaya of Kasibu, Sta Clara of Aritao, Banagar of Solano and Alliaga and Dullao in Bambang.
The declaration was made by the PDEA, Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Health (DOH).
Dumlao-Sevillena said that out of the 275 barangays of the province, 210 were already drug cleared while 65 more are yet to be evaluated. (ALM/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
