CAMIGUIN, Aug. 28 (PIA)--With the mandatory use of face mask and face shield in the province starting August 16, the Department of Science and Technology-Provincial Science and Technology Center (DOST-PSTC) Camiguin distributed 340 face shields to frontliners in the province.
DOST-PSTC Camiguin provided 200 face shields to Camiguin Provincial Police Office (CamPPO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) (30), Mambajao Police Station (40) and Mambajao Motorela Operators Association (70).
"DOST continues to provide science and technology interventions for every Filipino in response to COVID-19," DOST-PSTC Camiguin Head Miriam De La Plaza said.
The DOST-Metals Industry Research and Development Center is pooling its resources, technology, and ingenuity to continue to support frontliners in various sectors in battling COVID-19 pandemic in the country with the mass production and distribution of face shields. (DOST Camiguin/PIA10)
