The beneficiaries are low-income individuals from the different municipalities in province based on the profiling conducted to identify qualified beneficiaries for the program which aims to help micro enterprises that are vulnerable to the COVID-19 crisis.

DTI – Capiz provincial director Ken Queenie R. Cuñada encourages the first batch of beneficiaries to improve their businesses by developing a positive mindset and by being more resolved to overcome the challenges brought about by the pandemic.

“DTI is responding to the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis through this PBG program with a fervent hope that you will be able to sustain and grow your micro businesses using the knowledge and skills we have imparted to you,” she stressed.

A simplified two-hour seminar-workshop on entrepreneurship, cash flow, and business continuity was given to the micro entrepreneurs to equip them with the proper entrepreneurial mindset and skills to allow them to effectively manage their retail enterprises.

Another batch of beneficiaries will also undergo the same seminar-workshop before they can receive their livelihood packages funded under the PBG program. (JBG/AAL/PIA/DTI Capiz)
