BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Aug. 30 (PIA) - The fire code fee collection of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in this province has increased during the third quarter of this year.
Senior Fire Officer Joseph Torres said they have collected more than P1 million fire code fees from May to July this year.
He said their current collection showed 73.10 percent performance efficiency compared to the same period in last year's collection of more than P562,000.
"Our sustained information education and communication campaign contributed to the compliance of various establishments in paying the required fire code fees," Torres said.
Fire code fees are required by the Fire Code of the Philippines which is being implemented and enforced by the BFP.
Torres made the report during the recent third quarter joint meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and Provincial Task Force-End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) at the Pasalubong Center.
