SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya Aug. 16 (PIA) - The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), in partnership with the St. Louis Beltran Parish here recently launched a livelihood program to help villagers earn income with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eva Doniego, TESDA senior skills development specialist said the Building Initiatives to Help Individuals (BINHI), an inception of the CARITAS Livelihood Program aims to provide training on various skills among villagers who are interested to earn income.
The program also provides livelihood kits among the beneficiaries inorder to start their own self employment venture.
"Our initial trainees are now producing quality eco-bags and face masks for sale. Let us buy these products to help them," she said.
The trainees, Doniego added were trained through the BINHI with the theme: "Tulong mo, ikabubuhay ko".
Doniego also said that another batch of trainees through the BINHI's "Haircutting Training Program" benefited youths, women elders, indigenous people, among others.
The 17 participants who came from barangays Uddiawan, Commonal and Poblacion were also given with haricutting kits.
Doniego further said that the incoming trainings for various beneficiaries will focus on trainings and retooling on dressmaking, haircutting and bread and pastry. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
