PASIG CITY, Sept. 7 (PIA) -- Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto reiterated his call for more applicatons of healthcare professionals saying the city needs more of them.
“We still need more health professionals. Applicants may email pasigcovidtf@gmail.com,” he said.
The mayor also expressed his profound gratitude to local healthcare and frontline workers.
On his Facebook page Sunday, Mayor Sotto expressed his thanks for their continued service amid the global health care crisis.
“Thank you once again for your service during these times of crisis. We will continue to do our best to answer your needs, but the truth is, no amount of compensation and benefits can match your hard work and sacrifice,” Mayor Vico said.
The local chief executive shared that they are setting up new living quarters for the city’s health staff who need a place to stay.
He also cited the regular hazard pay which is based on the number of hours worked, and added that healthcare workers who were forced to undergo quarantine will receive regular hazard pay.
Likewise, he reported the continuous efforts of the local government on the regularization and promotion, as well as salary increase of local workers.
“We have made big steps in terms of creating hundreds of new positions, allotting a bigger budget, and more. It takes time, but we are progressing relatively quickly,” he added.
Sotto also reported that the city government is in the final stages (data migration and finalization) of the city’s new patient information management system and contact tracing app.
“This was designed specifically to help us fight covid more efficiently,” he said.
Meanwhile, he also encouraged healthcare professionals to discuss with their hospital HR or heads any urgent concerns, as well as seek assistance from the mayor’s office.
“For urgent concerns, talk to your hospital HR or heads first (for PCGH, we have assigned 2 people from City HR Dept to assist). Kung sa tingin niyo ay di mareresolbahan ang mga isyu, wag kayong mahiya na lumapit sa mayor's office,” Sotto quipped. (PIA-NCR)
