DAVAO City Sept. 28 (PIA) - The leadership of the Police Regional Office XI directed for strict monitoring and dismissal from police service any personnel of the PRO XI caught for drinking liquor in public, pawning or losing issued firearms and engaging in illegal gambling activities and illegal drugs.
Police Brig. General Filmore Escobal, director of the PRO XI stressed that he will strictly implement the said directives to anyone found guilty of the aforementioned offenses.
“This order is aligned with the police leadership’s police for the members of the police force to be responsible, respectable, and disciplined and for the presidential order to kick out from the service any police personnel caught drinking in public,” he pointed out.
Escobal still promised to have everything go through proper proceedings to observe due process.
Under his administration, there were already 15 policemen dismissed, one demoted, and 27 others suspended after they were found guilty engaging in illegal and prohibited activities.
Escobal expected that the police personnel of Davao Region must compliant and consider this as stern warning that PRO 11 will be very strict in implementing this matter in order to uphold the integrity of the police service. (PIA XI-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
