LAGAWE, Ifugao, Sept. 14 (PIA) - - Work at the municipal office is temporarily suspended for the time being while a barangay here was placed on lockdown for three days after an employee of the local government unit here tested positive for COVID-19.
Mayor Martin, Habawel, Jr. temporarily suspended work and transactions in the municipal hall until the employees have been cleared of COVID-19 infections and the office mates of the patient will be subjected to RT-PCR test.
“All the other employees who were directed to be on self-isolation since September 10, 2020 will continue to quarantine themselves, do work from home if required and await further isntructions,” Habawel stated in his advisory released on September 13.
He advised Lagawe residents who need medical clearance to proceed to the Ifugao General Hospital out patient clinic because the municipal health officer and some of her staff are among the direct contacts of the patient.
Habawel also placed barangay Poblacion West, the resident of the patient, under temporary lockdown starting 6:00 pm on September 13 to Sept. 16 to facilitate contact tracing, testing, and quarantine activities. Movements of persons to, from and within Poblacion West particularly in Canablog is highly restricted.
