PASIG CITY, Oct. 24 (PIA) -- The Department of Health (DOH) recognized Pasig City’s response to the COVID-19 and was chosen as the local government unit (LGU) to share best practices on treatment.

On his Facebook page, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto thanked the DOH for the said award
“Our Treatment Strategy, including the establishment of a Covid-19 Referral Center, has certainly strengthened our fight against this virus,” said Mayor Sotto.
The local chief executive also shared the award to the city’s medical team as he recognized their continued efforts to battle the pandemic.
“This award inspires us to do even better. Our health care professionals are always on the lookout for ways to improve what we do. As a mayor, I'm very blessed to have this team.”
Likewise, Mayor Vico cited other Metro Manila LGUs who have received recognition from the DOH: Marikia City was chosen for testing; Manila for contact tracing; Valenzuela City for isolation; and Pasay City for CODE implementation. (PIA-NCR)
