TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Nov. 1 (PIA) - - -The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office No. 2 (DSWD FO2) has ensured the availability of Family Food Packs in the Region as augmentation support to local goverment units that will be affected by typhoon 'Rolly'.
Vhanna Nolasco, information officer of the department's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management division, said personnel of the department are currently repacking Family Food Packs at their warehouse in this city.
The team, according to her, is headed by ARDA Celso Ara, DRMD Head Marciano Dameg, OIC-PSD Franco Lopez and DRMT team headed by Llenisel Cuntapay.
She said an additional 1,880 Family Food Packs were repacked yesterday on top of the 21, 882 FFPs on stockpiles.
A total of 1,000 FFPs were also hauled in the province of Quirino yesterday, October 31, 2020.
Nolasco added that there are 8,009 non-food items ready for distribution should LGUs request for it. These include folding beds, family tents, kitchen kits, sleeping kits and mosquito nets.
On the other hand, Nolasco said three FFPs were already given to the three families who were affected and who are currently staying at the evacuation center in LGU Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya. (MDCT with reports from DSWD-2/PIA-2)
