PARAÑAQUE CITY, Oct. 31 -- The Parañaque local government unit formally received We Heal as One Center quarantine facility from the Department of Public Works & Highways during a simple turn over rites on Thursday.
The turn over of the facility is in line with the government’s efforts to scale up the nation’s isolation capacity under the National Action Plan (NAP) Against COVID-19.
Ramdam na ramdam po namin ang inyong pagkalinga sa amin,” said Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez during the hand-over ceremony.
The mayor revealed that the city government has designated public schools as temporary isolation facilities. But now with the We Heal as One Center, the schools will revert as learning institutions.
For his part, National Task Force against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Carlito G. Galvez Jr. commended the city for demonstrating best practices in its fight against the disease.
At talagang nagtutulungan po sila as one LGU,” he added.
The PHP 28.6 million isolation facility has 84 air-conditioned rooms with complete amenities and four nursing stations that will serve as quarters for healthcare workers. (PIA-NCR)
