ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Nov. 11 (PIA) – Thirteen micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) from Capiz are among the 41 mentees in Western
Visayas who graduated from the 1st Kapatid Mentor ME – Money Market Encounter online program.
The graduates composed the first batch of the program initiated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regional office 6 in collaboration with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo.
KMME – MME online program aimed to assist small businessmen scale up their businesses and contribute to the economy’s growth while addressing the issues of unemployment amidst the new normal.
The mentee-graduates completed the 10-module sessions and successfully passed the Business Improvement Plan (BIP) presentation required by the program.
A virtual graduation was conducted last September.
“The one-on-one coaching and focused coaching on financial plan preparation greatly helped and enhanced the mentees appreciation of their BIP,” said a DTI news release, adding that unstable internet connection and random power interruptions were braved and surpassed by the mentees through the persistent PCE mentors and DTI facilitators.
“The wisdom and expertise of the KMME mentors and the mentees’ determination proved more powerful over the experienced inconvenience,” the article added.
The graduates are now set to kickstart and pump up their businesses as the program was able to expand their knowledge, broaden their imagination, make use of their time and focus their energy. (JBG/ AAL/PIA Capiz/ With reports from Roxanne B. Arbatin)
