BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Nov. 2(PIA) - The Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO) here recently gave free school supplies to elementary schoolers in the upland villages of Dupax del Sur town.
Engr. Virgilio Montano, NUVELCO general manager said the school supplies such as bags, notebooks, pencils and pens, among others were given to the schoolers of the Bugkalot High School (BHS) and New Gumiad Elementary School (NGES) learners.
The assistance, now on its second year is part of the power cooperative's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), by helping poor schoolers in the province.
"We do not only bring light to homes but also give hope to the lives of the young learners, especially the poor," Motano said.
The school supplies distribution was also supported by San Miguel Energy Corporation and Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association(PHILRECA).# (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
