PASIG CITY, Nov. 6 (PIA) -- The Pasig City Government will provide relief assistance to affected families in the Bicol region that was recently hit by Super Typhoon Rolly.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto led an emergency meeting on Thursday with City Administrator Atty. Jeronimo Manzanero and the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office chief Bryant Wong, together with the members of the city’s DRRM Council for the approval of Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PCDRRMC) Resolution No. 7, Series of 2020, extending financial assistance and relief goods to the most affected provinces.
The resolution authorizes the grant of financial assistance in the amount of two million pesos (P2,000,000.00) for the Provincial Government of Catanduanes, one million pesos (P1,000,000.00) for the Provincial Government of Albay, and one million pesos (P1,000,000.00) for the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur.
"The financial assistance shall provide a temporary respite to those affected cities and municipalities in time of great distress while in the process of recovery and rehabilitation," the resolution read.
Aside from the financial aid, the Pasig City government will also provide 10,000 units of relief goods for the Provincial Government of Catanduanes, exclusively for the victims of “Rolly.” (PIA-NCR)
