TUBOD, Lanao del Norte, Dec. 2 - Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo together with Baroy Mayor Rosa D. Olafsson led the distribution of 1,870 children learning kits with coloring books featuring the map of Lanao del Norte and various tourist attraction in the province, as well as multivitamins and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) to boost the immune system of the children.

The distribution was spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and held at the Covered Court of Barangay Poblacion, Baroy Tuesday, December 1.

The same activity took place the same day in the Municipality of Sapad where 1,200 kits and multivitamins and ascorbic acid for children were given to the Day Care Workers.

Governor Angging reminded the parents and the Day Care workers to be extra careful when going to public places and to be always mindful of the minimum health standards by wearing a face mask and face shield, washing of hands regularly with soap, observing physical or social distancing, and disinfecting hands with alcohol to keep the family safe from coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The Governor also thanked the Day Care workers for the hard work, sacrifice, patience, and contribution in the learning process of the children.

Day Care Centers of other municipalities also received the same kits in November in line with the celebration of the 2020 Children’s Month with the theme, “Sama-samang Itaguyod Ang Karapatan ng Bawat Bata sa Panahon ng Pandemya!.”

PSWDO Annabelle S. Mendez  said a total of 21,000 children aged 3 to 4 years old received the kits and vitamins through the initiative of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo. (PIO-LDN)
