“A healthy Pilipinas should start from us so we can all continue disseminate timely, relevant and accurate information,” Cualoping emphasized, citing the Department of Health’s (DOH) BIDA Solusyon campaign.

BIDA Solusyon Campaign highlights people to practice these four behaviors: B - Bawal walang mask;  I - I-sanitize ang mga kamay, iwas-hawak sa mga bagay; D - Dumitansya ng isang metro, and A - Alamin ang totoong impormasyon.

Likewise, he commended the student writers for their excellent work in the field of development communication despite the tough times brought about by the COVID-19 and natural disasters.

“Going through a pandemic and a series of calamities made our jobs tougher requiring grit and genuine heart for the Filipino people,” he said.

Referring to the student journalists as the future of communication, Cualoping expressed his gratitude to them for partnering with the government in helping achieve the vision of President Rodrigo Duterte of providing a comfortable life for all Filipinos.

“Soon with your help, with everyone’s help, we will have a better and healthier Pilipinas,” according to the director-general. (LTP/LML-PIA6 Antique)
