PNP enjoins families to celebrate holidays peacefully, safely

SAN JOSE, Antique, Dec. 30 (PIA) - - The Philippine National Police enjoins families and communities to celebrate the holidays peacefully, safely and in compliance to health protocol as the nations of the world are finding ways to put an end to this COVID-19 pandemic.

IATF in observance of Christmas and New Year.

She reiterated the compliance to BIDA Solusyon when in public events and the observance of Curfew as stated in Resolution 205 - a resolution implementing the low - risk modified general community quarantine in Antique.

Mena also reminded the public on the use firecrackers and pyrotechnics to be compliant with the guidelines to avoid accidents.

She also told the gun owners to refrain from indiscriminate use of their guns especially during the new year revelry, penalties, and sanctions are waiting for the violators.

Pet owners are also reminded to keep safe their pets to shelter them from loud noise from crackers that may cause them harm if not run in the streets that might cause accidents to motorists and commuters.

For those attending the gathering, if this cannot be avoided for family members, she encouraged them to drink moderately especially those who are driving home to avoid road accidents.

“There are many ways to enjoy the celebration peacefully and safe, as long as we comply with the provisions of the law,” Mena said.

The Antique PNP, she said, is one with the Antiqueños in celebrating the holidays, however, the public is encouraged to push for a peaceful and safe welcoming of the 2021. (JBG/PSM/PIA-Antique)
