MANAOAG, Pangasinan, Jan 31 (PIA) - The Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB) of the 51st Engineer Brigade in partnership with the 51st Engineer Support Company, donated equipment and tools to front liners to help prevent the spread of corona virus disease (COVID-19).
Chairman Erlinda Castillo-Ang of MSAB said donations of door heat scanners and gallons of mist sprayers were given to the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) and the municipal police stations in Alcala and Laoac.
On deck to receive are the PNP stations in the cities of Urdaneta and Dagupan and at the Regional Maritime Unit-1.
Earlier, water purifiers were donated to the 51st EB at Camp Gen. Atienza in Libis, Quezon City.
“‘The MSAB cares about the health of our soldiers and policemen by giving them clean water and tools to ensure their safety,” Ang told the Philippine Information Agency.
The chairman said the MSAB will continue to pool its resources to donate to all police stations in Pangasinan.
“We help people who help people,” said MSAB member Ella Maximo of Watermax.
Meanwhile, Ang said the fourth quarter MSAB regular meeting for calendar year 2020. was held on January 22, 2021 in Quezon City attended by Brigade Commander BGen. Lyndon Sollesta of the 51st EB where the status of on-going projects were discussed.
“The 51st MSAB will continue to support the Primera Brigada in accomplishing its mission and mandate towards becoming a genuine and transformed premier engineer brigade,” Ang said.
The Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB) serves as the advocate and accountability partner of the Philippine Army - Engineer Brigade in its transformation in becoming a source of national pride. It was established to support and guide the Army as it contributes to building a just and humane society by adhering to International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Human Rights (HR), and Rule of Law (RoL).(JCR/VHS, PIA-Pangasinan)
