BAGABAG, Nueva Vizcaya, Jan. 26 (PIA) - An official of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has urged farmers here to join their Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization (ARBOs) to receive benefits from the agency.
DAR USec. for Support Services Office Emily Padilla said more assistance will be given to their ARBOs to boost their resources in increasing their income.
"We are always encouraging our farmers to join our ARBOs so that they too can benefit from our various services and support facilities," she said.
She made the statement during their recent conduct of 'KUMUSTASAKA', a nationwide program to communicate with their ARBs in order to assess and evaluate their programs, projects and activities in the countryside.
According to Padilla, Nueva Vizcaya has 80 ARBOs at present with 13,000 members while there are still 7,000 farmers who are non-ARBs.
"We hope that our farmers will continue to join our ARBOs so we can maximize the provision of our support services and facilities for our farmers," she said. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
