DOST site bridges neighborhood enterprises to more consumers

QUEZON CITY, Jan. 2 (PIA) --  A DOST website is providing island-based enterprises in Mimaropa opportunities to showcase products and services across the sea without travelling.

Mimaropa Ventures PH (https://ift.tt/3n84YcH), is featuring community businesses that the DOST-Mimaropa assisted with technologies and funding.

Whether for personal consumption or trading purposes, visitors are treated with wide range of products in the site.

They can search for the products such as arrowroot cookies, family recipe biscuits, peanut butter, ginger teas and rice cakes among others by working through the drop-down selections and choose from categories and the provinces.

Manufacturers’ contact details can be seen upon completion of visitor registration.

Mimaropa Ventures was included in the Virtual Exhibit that DOST Mimaropa put up in November in observance of the National Science and Technology Week.

The virtual exhibit likewise has shown available technologies and programs that small businesses may need to improve their production and designs.

Through the 3D virtual tour, visitors will have the feeling of entering the physical exhibit and hop from one digital booth to another where they can learn about scholarships, the Community Empowerment through Science and Technology and the famed DOST-Up which has helped a lot of entrepreneurs by hopping in every digital booth.

The fora, likewise, tackled topics such as the newly improved Nutribun or water product Tubig Talino.
