Luna town now under MECQ

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Jan. 26 (PIA) - The municipality of Luna was placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) due to the rising cases of COVID-19.

Luna Mayor Jaime Atayde declared Luna's 14-day MECQ status from January 25 to February 7 through Executive Order No. 01, Series of 2021 as COVID-19 active cases from January 1 to present rose to 44 in the town's  11 barangays where afflicted villagers had no travel history.

“This will enable us to do  contact tracing and swab testing to the people with close contact to the COVID-19 positive patients. With this, only  employees who will be reporting for the skeleton force, health workers and frontliners with identification cards will be allowed outside their homes," Atayde said.

He added that public transportation is temporarily suspended while transportation for employees who are reporting to office are allowed as a measure to control the movement of people in the town. (BME/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
