Santiago City conducts free drive-thru COVID-19 swab test

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Feb. 6 (PIA) - The Local Government Unit of Santiago City has conducted a free drive-thru COVID-19 swab test to SantiagueƱos, motorists and residents from nearby towns as part of its preventive measure for the possible local transmission of the virus.

"The activity is part of the city’s aggressive COVID-19 mass testing initiated by the city government to a portion of its residents in the past few days held in various testing sites in the city," said Santiago City Health Officer Dr. Genaro Manalo.

Manalo said  individuals who are found positive of the virus will be immediately housed in the city’s isolation facilities, adding that  persons who have undergone the free COVID-19 swab test should  stay in their homes for several days until the result of the test is released by the City Health Office.

He said the result of COVID-19 test can also be accessed using the link that were given to the swabbed persons. (MDCT/BME/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
