Police women get commendation on pandemic efforts

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, March 3 (PIA) –- Five women police officers from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) received commendation for their noteworthy efforts during the pandemic, as part of the kick-off celebration of National Women’s Month celebration with the theme "Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!."

The awarding rite was held at the Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, March 1, 2021 with Provincial Council for Women Chairperson and the President of Negros Occidental Girl Scout Council lawyer Andrea Lizares-Si.

 Police Lieutenant, the Kabankalan City Police Station Chief of Police; Colonel Mary Rose Salve G. Pico,  Police Major Aireen C. Sing Benco, Deputy Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit of NOCPPO; Police Lieutenant Lynie P. De Los Santos, Chief Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) NOCPPO; Police Executive Master Sergeant Malinda M. Taganile, WCPD Talisay City Police Station; and Police Senior Master Sergeant Juiet G Dimpo, WCPD Kabankalan CPS, received their plaque of commendation their humanitarian efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NOCPPO director PCol. Romy I. Palgue led the awarding and giving of roses to policewomen and female Non-Uniformed Personnel as a gesture of appreciation for the contribution of women in the PNP.

These five policewomen were lauded for their accomplishments and expressions of goodwill through living by heart the value of being "Makatao" as one of PNP Core Values.

“In line with your various activities which signifies your devotion to serve the community during the COVID-19 Pandemic and as one of the best practices of your office, which aims sustain the needs of the indigent families in terms of food supplies and as well as in giving information to the general public about the safety protocols during the pandemic,” Palgue commended the policewomen in his letter of commendation.
