Santiago City placed under Hard GCQ

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, March 29 (PIA) - Santiago City Mayor Joseph Tan has placed the entire city under Hard General Community Quarantine (HGCQ) after registering a spike of Covid-19 cases in the city.

Tan in his Executive Order No. 2021-03-06 said the city was placed under HGCQ due to  the positivity rate and increase of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths.

“As of March 2021, there are 1,642 total confirmed cases and 26 deaths in the city and hospitals in the city, both public and private, as well as the various quarantine facilities have reached their full capacity,” Tan said.

He said there is a pressing need for stricter mobility restrictions and other guidelines to be implemented from 12:01 pm of  March 29 to 11:59 pm of March 31, 2021 in order to stop the transmission  of Covid-19 on the life, well-being and health of Santiaguenos. (BME/MGE/PIA-2/Isabela)
