CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, April 5 (PIA) - A total of 27 out of the 91 barangays of this city were placed under localized lockdown due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
City of Ilagan Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz signed Executive Order No. 15, Series of 2021 placing the 27 city villages under lockdown which took effect noon of April 1, 2021 until 8:00 pm of April 10, 2021.
“The City of Ilagan has registered 26 active cases as of March 29, 2021 with CV Code and 119 active cases without CV Code,” Diaz said in his order.
Diaz said in his order that the localized lockdown aims to enable authorities to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and to effectively conduct massive contact tracing and isolation of identified close contacts of CoOVID-19 patients.
The 27 barangays that were placed under localized lockdown are Alibagu, Bliss Village, Calamagui 2nd, Sta. Isabel Sur, Cabisera 22, Centro San Antonio, San Felipe, Marana 1st, Naguilian Sur, Osmena, Baculud, San Ignacio, Bagumbayan, Sta. Barbara, Blaigatan, Calamagui 1st, San Vicente, Fugu, Cabisera 2, San Isidro, Guinatan, Arusip, Centro Poblacion, Malalam, Cabannungan 2nd, Allinguigan 2nd, and Cabannungan 1st.
He said that pursuant to Section 8.5 of the National Task Force on Covid-19 Memorandum Order No. 02, the City Inter-Agency Task Force shall enforce immediately strict perimeter control in the identified areas and shall impose screening procedures at points of entry for all individuals exiting.
He said movement of individuals is prohibited except for emergency and medical instances, those accessing essential goods and services and those working in permitted offices, establishments or such other activities allowed under Omnibus Guidelines on ECQ date March 28, 2021.
Diaz assured that food relief packs during the duration of lockdown to the affected families to the 27 barangays will be provided by the City Government.
The city police chief, heath officers, personnel of traffic management group, barangay officials and barangay tanods are mandated by Mayor Diaz to enforce the said order. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
