P7M Salinas-Mcdo Road to benefit farmers in Bambang

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya, April 27(PIA) - The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be conducting road improvement works in barangay Salinas here to boost economic activities of farmers and agricultural traders.

Engr. Marifel Andes, DPWH First District chief said they are carrying out the concreting of the P7 million Salinas-Mcdo Road project to provide better roads for farmers in the area.

Andes said that the project includes the concreting of four road sections with road lengths of 115 meters for first section, 85 meters for second section, 169 meters for third section, 134 meters for fourth section, respectively.

"The project that started on January 6 this year will provide an accessible transport facility of agricultural goods and local products," she said.

Andes said that once completed, the project will improve the mobility of goods and services within the area, thereby ensuring food security amidst COVID-19 pandemic establishing conducive roads for target beneficiaries’ transportation means.

“This road concreting projects aims to uplift the lives of the farmers leading to the growth of agricultural economy in the area,” Andes added. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
