OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, May 15 (PIA)—The 51 barangay captains and members of the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) in Ozamiz City received their first shots of COVID-19 vaccines at the City Health Office.
Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal said boosting their immune system and their morale as they continue to serve as the first responders to possible or suspected cases of COVID-19 in their respective barangays is very important to the frontliners.
“We continuously encourage every Ozamiznon to support the government’s inoculation program, get vaccinated and be protected from COVID-19. Together, let us heal as one,” he added.
The leaders of the barangay are very thankful to the national and local government for the quick response of vaccination roll-out here in the city.
“Kung mahal nila ang ilang kaugalingon ug tagsa-tagsa ka mga pamilya, kinahanglan nga magpabakuna gayud kung muabot na ang vaccine dinhi sa Ozamiz City," one of the barangay leaders said.
(If they love themselves and their families, they should get vaccinated when the vaccine arrives here in Ozamiz City). (SMRN/PIA Misamis Occidental)
