CL anti-insurgency task force OKs dev't projects for Bulacan village

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, May 8 (PIA) -- Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict 3 (JRTF-3) has passed a resolution endorsing to Department of Budget and Management (DBM) the proposed priority projects for barangay San Mateo in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
 
Once approved by DBM, it will receive funding worth PhP 20 million under the Support to Barangay Development Program.
 
“The fund shall be used to build various infrastructure projects such as a farm-to-market road and a two-storey health center,” Presidential Peace Adviser and Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security 3 Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr said during Friday’s JRTF-3 virtual meeting.
 
It will also be utilized to conduct agricultural, livelihood, and technical vocational trainings and projects as well as implement an electrification project which will benefit 220 households across three sitios.

Galvez called on the members of JRTF-3 to ensure that all interventions to be implemented by the group should be felt by people on the ground and make an impact in beneficiary communities.
 
“As we support the implementation of the Support to Barangay Development Program, we will be taking part in the implementation of community-based projects that aim to create more economic opportunities for residents and uplift their lives,” he said.
 
“Let us make sure that through these initiatives, we will make our people feel the presence of government; that it truly cares for them and will help them in the best ways possible,” the official furthered.
 
Other resolutions approved during the meeting include the JRTF-3 catch-up plan and proposed program for President Duterte’s planned visit to Central Luzon in July. (CLJD-PIA 3)
