Pasig City deploys over 48,000 vaccines vs COVID-19

PASIG CITY, May 13 (PIA) -- The City Government of Pasig has already deployed over 48,000 vaccines against COVID-19. 

According to the city government, as of May 11, a total of 48,696 vaccines were already deployed. From the vaccines deployed covering eligible individuals from the A1, A2, and A3 categories.

A total of 44,202 individuals already received their first dose while 4,494 individuals already completed their second dose.

Data on vaccinated individuals in Pasig City include:

        A1: Workers in Frontline Health Services

        1st Dose - 13,284

        2nd Dose - 3,281

 

        A2: Senior Citizens

        1st Dose - 21,680

        2nd Dose - 10

 

        A3: Adults with Comorbidities

        1st Dose - 9,238

        2nd Dose - 1,203

 

The city government added that from the total number of vaccines deployed, 34,478 are Sinovac's CoronaVac and 14,218 are Oxford's AstraZeneca.

According to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, more vaccines will arrive.

Good news - more vaccines arriving. but as of now not enough to open more sites. Flow in vaccination sites generally smooth. Great feedback for school sites. TMC had long lines for 2 days, but TMC and LGU teams met this morning and everything looks good.”

He also noted that 27 percent (27%) of the city’s seniors already receive their vaccine.

“[More than] 27% of Pasig seniors have been vaccinated. But it appears as though many registered in Pasig are actually in the province.”

Earlier, Mayor Vico Sotto reminded vaccinees to be on time for their vaccine schedule and to call the hotline numbers for updates and inquiries.
