Sen. Go gives aid to 200 poor villagers in Bayombong

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, May 12 (PIA) - At least 200 poor villagers in this town recently received various assistance from Senator Cristopher Lawrence 'Bong' Go.

Mayor Ralph Lantion said they are grateful for the continuing support of Senator Go in helping the poor sector of their municipality.

He said the senator gave meals, food packs, vitamins, face masks, and face shields to the villagers of this town's various barangays.

"We are grateful for this act of unending kindness from Senator Bong Go. These assistance are needed by our poor villagers especially this town of COVID-19 pandemic," Lantion said.

Selected beneficiaries were also given new shoes, including bicycles for those who have difficulty in commuting to work and tablets for children who are studying under the Blended Learning System (BLS) of the Department Of Education (DepEd).

Lantion also praised the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) which also provided livelihood assistance grants to the beneficiaries under its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

He said other project of Senator Bong Go in the municipality was the setting-up of the Malasakit Center at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center(R2TMC).

Lantion said Go's other projects in the province are the ongoing road development in barangay Poblacion in Ambaguio town and the Phase 1 construction of the Municipal Building in Kayapa town. (MDCT/BMEIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya0
