PARAÑAQUE CITY, May 31 (PIA) -- Citizens from priority groups A1, A2, and A3 will be able to avail Taguig's TB screening and undergo chest x-ray examination before receiving their vaccine dose.

Found active TB cases will also receive treatment free of charge, the Taguig City Public Information Office (PIO) said.

The PIO said this screening service is available at the VistaMall MegaVaccination Hub and integrated by Taguig City to ensure other health crisis are also addressed especially in an ongoing pandemic.

COVID-19 and tuberculosis are diseases classified as a public health emergency.

For this reasons, the City Government of Taguig, in partnership with USAID’s TB Platforms and DOH National Tuberculosis Control program, aims to strengthen its tuberculosis response, as the country expects to find and treat some 2.5 million Filipinos with tuberculosis by 2022. (PIA NCR)
