CEBU CITY, June 4 (PIA) – The Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President in the Municipality of Cordova, Daniesse Karen Sumagang, is urging the youth in her town to check the facts they read online to make sure they are from reliable sources.
In an interview with Presidential Communication Operations Office Sec. Martin Andanar over the Network Briefing News, Sumagang said the dissemination of accurate information about vaccination will lead more people to avail of the COVID-19 vaccination.
She said there are still people who are afraid to be vaccinated due to the misinformation they receive.
Sumagang shared during the interview the various initiatives that the SK in Cordova are undertaking especially in the information drive for the COVID-19 vaccination.
She said the SK in her town has been using social media in conducting their activities for the youth in Cordova, as well as showcasing their talents and abilities.
The SK official encouraged the youth to stay at home for their safety and to go out only when necessary .
“Let us cooperate with the government’s programs and follow the minimum health standard protocols to protect ourselves and our families and those who trust us,” she added. (hfg/PIA7)
