BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The provincial government of Bataan will hand out five kilograms of rice as early Christmas present to each of those who will be inoculated against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) during the three-day national vaccination campaign from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, 2021.

Under the “Handog sa Bakunadong BataeƱo” program, an individual will receive the rice after being inoculated with either the first dose, second dose or the booster shot at any inoculation site in the province's 11 towns and one city, as well as in the mobile "Vax on Wheels".

This is in cooperation with the Bayanihan, Bakunahan of the Department of Health to ensure the long-time protection of our province-mates against the pandemic and for the continuous decline of the coronavirus disease cases in Bataan),” Governor Albert Garcia said in social media post on Sunday.

He said he is encouraging all to avail of the free vaccination against Covid-19 in order to attain the high percentage of vaccinated population that would signal the opening of businesses and return of the vibrancy of the local economy.

Garcia earlier discussed the rice provision program via Zoom in his town hall meetings with all the mayors, barangay chairpersons and municipal health officers.

This program aims to make the extensive vaccination successful, especially among our province-mates who are still apprehensive about receiving the vaccine against Covid-19 until now),” he added.
