MANAOAG, Pangasinan – The National Housing Authority (NHA) is offering low-cost housing units in the different towns and cities in the province to government employees and civilians.
In a phone interview on Wednesday, NHA Ilocos and Cordillera regions program manager Aida Daiwey said among the available housing units are at Pilgrim Heights Residences here that will be offered to the uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, government employees, and overseas Filipino workers, among others.
“The housing project will have 375 units to be constructed in the 53,136 square meters (sqm) lot in Barangay Pugaro (in) Manaoag town. It is a land development and house construction project,” she said.
Daiwey said each house and lot unit amounts to PHP1.9 million that can be availed of through Pag-IBIG Fund or NHA.
Each two-storey with two bedrooms housing unit measures 60 square meters in an 80-square-meter lot.
“Those who wanted to avail will be pre-qualified,” she said.
Daiwey said another housing project is at Pangasinan Ville in Urdaneta City with 700 units available.
It was initially offered to AFP and PNP personnel but was recently opened to local government employees of Urdaneta City to dispose of the project since there were few uniformed and non-uniformed personnel availing, she said.
Meanwhile, there are also housing projects in Pangasinan that were disposed of or under collection by NHA.
Daiwey said these projects are in Maniboc Lingayen town that was availed of by the provincial government employees as well as the Camp Gregg in Bayambang town and Caoayan Hills in Sual town where 70 percent was disposed to the uniformed and non-uniformed personnel.
She added 30 percent is offered to local government employees and other beneficiaries endorsed by the local chief executive. (PNA)
