Manila North Road in Pagudpud impassable due to landslide

LAOAG CITY – Long lines of vehicles passing through the Manila North Road in Barangay Pancian, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte are stranded on Thursday due to a landslide caused by monsoon rains.

As of this posting, the Department of Public Works and Highways maintenance crew are conducting clearing operations.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the northeast monsoon is currently affecting northern and central Luzon, bringing light to moderate rains particularly within the boundaries of Cagayan and Ilocos Norte which is prone to landslide.

Motorists are advised to take precautionary measures when passing through the area. (PNA)
