Cloudy skies, isolated rain showers to prevail across PH

MANILA – Isolated rain showers due to three weather systems will dampen most parts of the country Tuesday, the weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Cagayan Valley region and Aurora province.

Flash floods or landslides are likely during moderate to heavy rains.

The northeast monsoon or amihan affecting the rest of Northern Luzon will bring isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.

PAGASA forecaster Grace Castañeda said the rest of the country would experience isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

No weather disturbance will affect the country, she added.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will continue to prevail over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Strong to gale force winds will be experienced over the northern, western, and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon. Fishing boats and other small sea vessels are advised not to venture into the sea, and larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves. (PNA)
