LILOAN CITY — Vice Presidential aspirant Sara Duterte on Friday had a short break from her hectic campaigning in the National Capital Region to visit Cebu and personally thank the country’s most vote-rich province’s endorsement.
Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, together with the local town leaders under the One Cebu Party, publicly made their reaffirmation of long-standing support to Duterte last February 16.
Cebu Province has more than three million registered voters, the most number of voters in the country.
Duterte met with Governor Garcia to personally thank her for the endorsement.
She also met with townmayor Christina Garcia-Frasco who led the inauguration of UniTeam BBM-Sara Provincial headquarters here.
As usual, mainiton ang inyong pagdawat sa akoa dinhi sa probinsya sa Cebu (We thank you for the time and opportunity during this inauguration of the UniTeam provincial headquarters),” Duterte said.
Garcia-Frasco said the UniTeam headquarters here was established to show the province’s strong support to the candidacies of Duterte and her Presidential running mate, former Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Garcia-Frasco, who is also Duterte’s spokesperson, encouraged her fellow Sugbuanon to unite in supporting the UniTeam for the country’s future.
Duterte capped off her Cebu visit with a guesting at the Wowowin show hosted by actor-host Willie Revillame.
Revillame joined millions of Filipinos in supporting Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s vice presidential bid.

We are here for whatever help you need),” he said on his show Wowowin at the Abellana Sports Complex here.

He said Sara’s leadership is needed especially in ensuring that every Filipino is afforded their basic rights to education, health, and security.

Yan ang ilalapit natin sa mahal nating ilaw ng tahanan, walag iba(There are many laws passed by the Senate but the law that we need is the law for the needs of each Filipino. What happens if there is no money for education? That is what we intend to seek help from no one else but) — Mayor Inday Sara Duterte,” said Revillame, who is popularly known as Kuya Will.

He serenaded the Davao City mayor with “Sara, ikaw na nga,” a revised version of his hit song “Ikaw na nga.”

Sara, who came from several engagements prior to her Wowowin guesting, thanked the audience for the support she has been receiving all over the country.
Our prayers for Cebuanos is to recover from Typhoon Odette, the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic and the repercussions of the Russia-Ukraine war),” she said.

I thank Willie Revillame for inviting me ti his show, and to all Cebuanos),” Duterte added. (HNP PR)
