Warm, humid weather to prevail across PH

MANILA – Warm and humid weather will prevail over most parts of the country due to the easterlies, the weather bureau said Thursday.

The frontal system affecting extreme northern Luzon will continue to bring rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.

"The easterlies affecting the rest of the country will bring warm and humid weather. Rains are highly likely over the east of Mindanao also due to the easterlies," said Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA forecast scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region.

Warm and humid weather with chances of isolated rains especially in the afternoon or evening is expected in other areas.

Castañeda added that there is no weather disturbance affecting the country.

The temperature in Metro Manila and Tuguegarao may reach up to 34 °C and up to 33 °C in the Kalayaan Islands, and the cities of Puerto Princesa, Laoag, and Legazpi.

Zamboanga's temperature may reach up to 34 °C; while Cebu, Tacloban and Iloilo's temperatures can reach up to 32 °C. Up to 31 °C temperature is expected in Davao and Cagayan de Oro.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
