Isabela PLGU awaits IATF decision on final quarantine status

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, April 29 (PIA) – The Provincial Government of Isabela is awaiting the final decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) on the province's status either under Enhanced Community Quarantine or General Community Quarantine after  April 30, 2020.

The announcement was made by Gov. Rodolfo T. Albano III  during his meeting with the City and Municipal Mayors of Isabela held yesterday in Luna town.

Albano said the status of COVID – 19 cases in the province remains fluid as it still changes over time and day wherein in the last few days, there was  no confirmed emergence of COVID -19 until April 25, 2020 where  two COVID -19 patients were confirmed.

“The ECQ status in Isabela remains in Isabela until April 30, 2020 and we will just wait for the decision of the IATF on our next quarantine status,” Albano said.

He said the guidelines on the implementation of ECQ as he emphasized that curfew for minor and senior citizens is implemented with prohibition on  mass gathering and enforcement of the  mandatory wearing of face mask and social distancing .

Albano said liquor ban is still being enforced and the presence of checkpoints in all boundaries of the province will still be maintained to ensure the control of possible entry COVID – 19 cases in the province.

Meanwhile, the local chief executive has expressed willingness to continue placing the province under ECQ to ensure the prevention of COVID-19 in the province. (BME/MGE – PIA-2/Isabela)
